Lutheran Braille Workers, a recognized service organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, seeks a qualified applicant to serve as president.
Responsibilities
*Collaborates with the Board of Directors to effectively fulfill LBW’s mission.
*Responsible for effective and timely communication with the BOD concerning all information that is necessary for the board to function properly
*Maintains the financial health of the organization including active participation in all needed fundraising efforts
*Works to make Lutheran Braille Workers visible in the community via collaboration with churches and other organizations
*Responsible for effective administration and management of LBW’s headquarters and staff
Qualifications
*Active member of a Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregation
*Previous senior nonprofit management and board experience
*Must demonstrate strong organizational and leadership abilities
*Must demonstrate proficiency in managing a budget
*Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to use a wide array of communication methods
*Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally
*A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree is preferred
