Shepherds College, a 3-year accredited college program designed to help young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop job skills and greater independence, is seeking a President to lead the fundraising efforts of Shepherds Foundation, Inc. POSITION OVERVIEW

The President of Shepherds Foundation Inc. (SFI) will report to the President of Shepherds Ministries (SM) / Shepherds College (SC) and shall work collaboratively with the SFI Board of Directors to lead SFI as the philanthropic arm of the organization, to raise the necessary funds to finance the mission and vision of SM/SC. Specifically, the President of SFI will ensure that SFI’s fiscal, operations, fundraising, marketing, and programmatic strategies are effectively implemented across all segments of the organization.

SKILLLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Minimum of a BA, MBA, or related advanced degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of diverse and successful fundraising experience
  • Prior non-profit management experience
  • Significant board development, marketing/branding, and fiscal management experience
  • A financially savvy leader with the ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investment in people and systems; keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision-making
  • Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills to be an outgoing spokesperson, relationship builder, and fundraiser
  • Strong commitment to the Christian discipleship and professional development of staff
